Last week was full of fun literacy activities!! The final and most exciting activity was on Friday afternoon when we had a school-wide vocabulary parade. The students were given the task of representing a particular Dr. Seuss character or a specific vocabulary concept. It was so great to see all of their creativity put to work! Even the teachers got in on the action!! Miss Weyandt and Miss Rothgeb represented the homophones "pair" and "pear." We dressed as a "pair of pears!!"
Mrs. Ferguson dressed as the homophones "deer" and "dear."
Miss McMannis represented the homophones "ate" and "eight."
Mrs. Boss dressed up as the homophones "flour" and "flower."
I tried to run around and take as many pictures of kids as I could. I know I didn't get everyone, but check out some of the students I did see....
